Before you order

Check VESA, the TV weight and the model’s load limit. Confirm that the ceiling structure can take the load with appropriate fixings. Use a suitably qualified installer if the construction or fixing method is uncertain.

Choose the drop before choosing the model

Measure from the structural ceiling to your intended screen position. Account for the TV height, the mounting plate position and any adjustment allowed by the mount. A high ceiling and a low seating position can require a different drop from a display above a counter. Leave a clear route around the installation and keep the screen away from doors, lights, curtains and other moving equipment.

Allow room for folding and powered movement

A folding screen sweeps through a larger area than its final viewing position. Check that the complete path is clear in both directions, including the TV housing and connectors. For a motorised product, compare the specified screen weight, power requirements and control method. Do not assume that a remote control, app connection or memory function is supplied with every model. Use only the controls and installation orientation described for the exact product.

Prepare the installation

Identify the load-bearing structure before drilling. A suspended ceiling may conceal a suitable structure, but its panels are not a substitute for one. Plan cable routing and access to the power connection before fixing the support. Assembly overhead is easier to manage when the screen attachment and cable route are planned in advance. Follow the model instructions for securing adjustable joints and completing the final attachment checks.

Common question

Can I attach a mount to any ceiling? No. A decorative finish alone is not a suitable load-bearing structure. Check the mounting instructions and supporting construction.
