Choose the Right Mount
Start with your screen or device and work through these checks before choosing a Wolff Mount product. Each model has its own specification; a category name alone does not establish compatibility.
1. Choose the installation position
Decide between a wall, ceiling, floor stand or desk attachment. Check the supporting construction and space for the complete installation. For a desktop stand or riser, the surface must remain stable under the equipment.
2. Identify the equipment
Record the full device model and its weight without any original base that will be removed. Measure the outside dimensions and locate its connectors and ventilation. For a holder, include the thickness of any case.
3. Measure VESA
For a compatible TV or monitor, measure the mounting-hole spacing horizontally and vertically, in millimetres. A 200 × 200 pattern means 200 mm between the horizontal holes and 200 mm between the vertical holes. Check the permitted screws and their engagement depth in the device instructions.
4. Check load and size limits
Match both the supported pattern and the permitted load. Add any equipment the mount also supports. Screen-size guidance is not a substitute for these checks. Gas-spring arms may have a minimum as well as a maximum screen weight.
5. Choose movement and clearance
Fixed models keep one position, tilt changes the vertical angle, and full-motion arms add extension and turning. Compare the exact ranges and check the screen’s clearance through the entire movement. Leave sufficient cable slack without creating strain or a trip hazard.
6. Confirm installation requirements
Use fixings suitable for the device and supporting structure. Included hardware does not automatically suit every wall, ceiling or desk. Follow the product manual and use qualified help when the construction or fixing method is uncertain.
