Compare the bike’s actual weight, dimensions and intended contact points with the rack specification. Frame geometry, handlebars and accessories can affect the fit. Leave room for pedals and wheels as well as a clear standing position for lifting the bike onto and off the support.

Choose a structural fixing point and use the fastening method suited to that material. The rack rating does not establish the strength of the wall. Consider how often the bike will be removed and who will lift it; a high position may free floor space but make handling harder. Keep the stored bike away from doors and walkways.

Follow the instructions for any hooks or shelves and their separate capacities. Do not treat a storage rack as a repair stand unless that use is expressly specified.
